William Olsen designs and builds built-ins, kitchen cabinets and fine furniture in cherry, figured maple, walnut and elm, for homes and businesses.

Cabinetry and furniture built as one-of-a-kind pieces

William Olsen Designs makes custom cabinetry in Phoenix, OR, with the eye of a fine furniture maker. Cherry drawers are joined with exposed dovetails, woods are picked for their figure, and built-ins are designed around the room they will live in.

One family has four large built-ins from William and says visitors admire them every time. Another client commissioned a dining table in Chinese elm and English walnut, plus a cherry blossom triptych for the wall behind it.

She is honest that his prices may be a bit more than average, and just as clear that the one-of-a-kind result is worth it.

Fine furniture

Wall art and small pieces

Not every commission is large. William has made a cherry blossom triptych to hang above a dining table and builds traditional sushi trays to order in figured maple, black walnut, cherry and rosewood. Ask for a quote on smaller pieces too.

Vans and commercial work

The shop works for residential and commercial clients, and not every project is a house. In 2013 William helped design and build birch side panels for a Sprinter van, and seven years later the owner said the panels were still serving him beautifully.

William Olsen made a beautiful dining table for me with Chinese Elm and English Walnut. I just LOVE it! The wood is stunning. He also made the cherry blossom triptych art on the wall behind the table. Just beautiful.

William Olsen is a stand up businessman and craftsman with integrity and a great sense of humor. His prices may be a bit more than the average furniture/cabinet maker, but what you get is FINE custom

One-of-a-kind work! I can't recommend enough.

William Olsen Designs helped me design and build simple/multifaceted birch side panels for my Sprinter van in 2013. Seven years later, my panels are still serving me beautifully! William is a skilled woodworker through and through and I will gladly use his services again in the future. It’s also worth noting that William Olsen Designs is equipped with all the latest, top-notch tools and equipment. This is not another hipster garage shop, but an incredibly professional, custom woodworking outfit.
